The TEDX List in 2017

In 2017 we identified 377 chemicals as potential endocrine disruptors and updated the references for 224 chemicals already on the TEDX List. We also added a source/use category for chemicals used or released during unconventional oil and gas production (fracking). There are now 1,419 chemicals listed as potential endocrine disruptors.

Our commitment to regularly updating the TEDX List helps individuals, businesses, and advocacy organizations answer questions such as, “Is the pesticide in my dog’s flea treatment an endocrine disruptor? Are there EDCs in the cosmetics I sell? Did that industrial spill contain endocrine disrupting chemicals?”

In 2018 we will investigate more biocides, antimicrobials, and cosmetic ingredients. We are also adding a feature to let you download the list to an Excel file. Let us know how you are using the TEDX List so that we can continue to improve it.

TEDX is a nonprofit scientific research institute. We evaluate and interpret scientific evidence on the effects of common chemicals, known as endocrine disruptors, in order to prevent harm to human and animal health.
